No Milk Today [when subjects get literal]

My love has hasn’t gone away. The bottle stands forlorn, a symbol of my new-found lactose intolerance.*

I really miss cheese.

It’s review Monday, but Christmas madness has over taken me so I’ve no review for you – other than reading Quidditch Through the Ages & Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them made me cry because I miss cheese and not because of any sort of sentimentality lurking inside my cold, disinterested carcass.

So, in a reviews stead…

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I’ll see you all on the other side of the inevitable food comas. May your Christmas be merry, bright and full of books.

*If you are wondering what I am going on about (you’re not alone) listen to that well known 60s classic ‘No Milk Today‘ by Herman’s Hermits.

Merry Christmas, Alice. Wishing you all the best for the festive season (even if you have to keep away from the cheeseboard!) :)

Merry Christmas. I hope you have a really good holiday.

Even though it might be a major loss not having the cheese and the milks, it might make you feel better knowing that they cause a problem.

Oh dear! Poor you! Of course you miss cheese, you poor thing! (But I am unduly pleased with myself for getting that song reference, as I am generally quite song-illiterate.)

Haha! I love a smug moment where I suddenly get something I mostly miss.
