I review The Tidal Zone by Sarah Moss for Issue 11 of Shiny New Books. It’s wonderfully written, and a book that sneaks up on you – keeps you thinking long after it ends. If you like an introspective novel on family this is for you, it’s so much more as well, Moss keeps it alive with powerful story telling.

Read my review over at Shiny New Books.

There are also some other great book reviews on there, as always, such as: The Essex Serpent, The Girls, Negroland, and Valley of the Dolls. So I do urge you to go off and enjoy the wonderful selection.

Great review, Alice :) I think you captured the anxiety that runs through the book perfectly and I couldn’t agree more with your final line on it being an essential read. I thought the book was excellent.
