Literary Life: November in Review

St. James park London

November was a great month for reading, at least by the end of it when I fell into a bit of a binge. It was just what I needed. Reading has fallen by the wayside since, but I’m not worried about it like I was before, I’m sure I’ll have another spurt. Not entirely sure I’ll reach my goal to read 80 books by Christmas, but I’m feeling fairly zen about it all.

I also cracked out the Christmas tunes, because I LOVE Christmas, it’s my favourite time of year.

Currently Reading:

Too many to really commit to anything.

Unfinished:

None!

I’ve Read:

  1. Scrappy Little Nobody – Anna Kendrick
  2. Night Waking – Sarah Moss
  3. Nocturnal Animals – Austin Wright
  4. The Eleventh Letter – Tom Tomaszewski
  5. Before I Fall – Lauren Oliver
  6. Inside Vogue: A Diary Of My 100th Year – Alexandra Shulman
  7. Love, Nina: Despatches from Family Life – Nina Stibbe

Night Walking was probably my favourite out of this bunch, it’s certainly the one my mind drifts back to. However, they were all wonderful.

How was your literary November?

I only read one book in November, however I am doing better this month. Here’s to more reading over the Christmas holidays :-)

My November was deeply distracted and way, way too busy. Now that I have basically wrapped up all of my December and Christmas obligations, I am hoping to get some quality reading done. Most of my library books are basically at the end of how often I can renew them, so I need to zip through them very fast in the next two weeks.
