Summer has reached England’s green and pleasant land, and if you are thinking, ‘boy, you must be happy’, you would be wrong. It’s like you don’t know me at all. But seriously, why so hot? Literary life: May in Review

May was exceptional. Four weeks of literary bliss at The Brighton Festival to fill my days. I saw so much, learnt new things, and decided that maybe I would take Andy Miller’s advice and (try to) finish every book I read. This has meant that for over a month I haven’t written a single review for my blog, and even now I don’t feel as though I have read something I want to write about ………

Literary Life: April in Review

  We’re four months into 2015 and I can’t help but wonder where the time has gone. The years just drip away, don’t they? I don’t feel as though I have read much this month, I hope to make up for that in May by powering through the Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction shortlist. Whilst doing my usual and volunteering for the Brighton Festival. Where April was slow, May is going to be wonderfully busy. ………

Literary Life: March in Review

Where has March gone? So quickly it has passed. I spent the latter half of the month at the Daunt Books Festival, and the former half looking forward to it. I’ve somehow managed to have an alarming amount of books I’m reading at once (three) so I will be spending the beginning of this month catching up. Thank goodness for Easter Weekend.
