May has been a brilliant month, full of festivities and festivals. I’ve seen Simon Price interview Viv Albertine, Alex Bellos talk Maths, AC Grayling chat Religion and Humanism, and Modern Poetry in Translation. (Not to mention the events I’ve yet to write up.) It’s raining outside as I write this, that sort of light angular rain that pours from dark clouds, light sky in the distance. It soaks you through, but it is the best sort of rain, it smells like spring. I went shopping Friday for something important – I returned with books. My reading this month began slowly, partly due to a change in my reading habits influenced by my online book buying ban. Due to two Kindle blips in March I’ll be continuing my ban into April. I attended the first day of the Daunt Books Festival, organised by fellow book blogger Emily, on the 27th of March.
