Poetry: Thinking by Walter D. Wintle

Cynical and pessimistic being that I am, I do not usually give any credence to ‘inspirational’ or uplifting documentation when I am feeling below par. However, as I am currently in the middle of a (what feels like, but probably is not) massive life change, a life change not quite going to plan, the optimistic mumbo-jumbo is seeping through to penetrating my mind.

I will revert back to type soon, happily so, however, until then I will be sharing the bits and pieces that are pulling me up from my downward spiral of doom; enjoy.

Thinking by Walter D. Wintle

If you think you are beaten, you are.
If you think you dare not, you don’t.
If you’d like to win but think you can’t,
It’s almost certain you won’t.
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man,
But sooner or later, the man who wins
Is the man who thinks he can.

  1. A very true poem. I am sorry you are feeling that way at the moment. If you want to talk I am here. It seems like a lot of people are having a hard time at the moment and it sucks. 😦
